Client Experiences

People at different stages of retirement life, with different needs, talking about what working with Havenly was actually like.

GH

Graham H.

British, retired to Rayong — June 2025

I had been putting off looking at my pension paperwork for over a year. The session with Sandra was the opposite of stressful — she just worked through it with me at a pace I could follow. By the end I understood what I had and what I didn't need to worry about.

MV

Marianne V.

Dutch, Pattaya and Rayong — July 2025

The Paperwork Companion service was exactly what I needed after my husband passed. I had boxes of documents I couldn't make sense of on my own. Havenly sorted everything clearly and the folder they left me with is genuinely something I use every week.

Robert K.

Australian, long-term Rayong resident — June 2025

Robert explained things clearly and didn't make me feel embarrassed for not understanding how my pension worked after 15 years of receiving it. I did have one question he couldn't answer on the spot — he followed up by email within two days with a link to the right source.

EL

Elisabeth L.

German, Mueang Rayong — July 2025

I enrolled in the Steady Records Plan after the initial sort and I am very glad I did. My visa is renewed each year and there are several insurance documents that have different expiry cycles. Nattaya keeps track of all of it and sends me a reminder well in advance.

PD

Peter D.

Canadian, part-time Rayong resident — June 2025

Because I split my time between Thailand and Canada, keeping documents sorted has always been a headache. The information talk helped me understand which documents I actually needed to keep physical copies of here versus what I could store digitally. Practical and calm — exactly what I was hoping for.

British, Rayong — July 2025

Good service overall. The session was unhurried and Sandra clearly knew what she was talking about. My only note is that it took a few days to get a response when I first enquired, though once things were arranged everything went smoothly. Would recommend.

A Few Longer Accounts

Three brief case studies — lightly anonymised — showing the range of situations people have brought to Havenly.

Starting point

A retired teacher from the UK had been living in Rayong for six years and had never fully understood the difference between her state pension and her occupational pension. Every letter from her former employer left her confused about what the figures actually meant.

What happened

She attended one Reassurance Information Talk, bringing three years of letters with her. The session worked through the structure of her pension arrangement, explained each section of the documents in plain terms, and pointed her to the official source for future questions.

Where things landed

She left the session clear on what she was receiving and why. Three months later she sent a note saying she had contacted her pension provider directly using the guidance we provided and resolved a long-standing query about her annual uprating.

Starting point

A Finnish couple, both recently retired, had moved to Rayong and found they had two boxes of mixed documents — some in Finnish, some in English — that they had not looked at since their arrival. They were worried there might be something important they were missing.

What happened

A Paperwork Companion session was arranged at their home. Over three hours the documents were grouped into categories, labelled, and placed into a clear folder. The Finnish-language documents were explained at a general level, and two were flagged as worth contacting the issuing authority about.

Where things landed

The couple enrolled in the Steady Records Plan afterward, primarily to keep track of the different renewal cycles their insurance documents required. The husband noted that he checks the folder at least once a fortnight, which he had never done with the old boxes.

Starting point

A recently widowed Australian woman had been managing all documents jointly with her husband. After his passing she found herself uncertain which papers were still relevant, which needed updating, and which she could set aside. The quantity and complexity felt overwhelming.

What happened

The session was extended to four hours to cover the full scope of documents. Those no longer relevant were set aside with a brief note explaining why; those needing attention were flagged clearly. A contents list was produced and a second, shorter session was arranged to follow up on the items that had needed further action.

Where things landed

She described the result as "like finally being able to breathe again." She has since referred two other women in similar situations to Havenly. Her documents are now managed under the Steady Records Plan, which she considers one of the most useful ongoing arrangements she has in her life.
